Happy New Year to all our Chapman Hills Families! 2017 is going to be a great year! As always the 2nd half of the year is going to jammed packed with wonderful learning opportunities for our students here at Chapman Hills.

School Happenings

January is a busy month so I am going to highlight all the wonderful things we have going on.

January 11-5th graders are continuing to collect textiles--now it is time to fill the "truck" please help support our 5th graders as they collect as many items within this week.

January 16- NO SCHOOL--Martin Luther King Day

January 20-Meet the Musicians 4th, 5th and 6th grade students (assembly at school)

January 23- 5th and 6th Grade VAPA showcase performance. 5th and 6th grade parents you are welcomed and encouraged to attend this performance as our students get to showcase all that they have learned during VAPA!

January 25- Coffee with the Principal @ 8:10 AM; come and learn all about our STEM LAB and the Technology interfaces the students have been using.

January 26- Imagination Machine Assemblies

January 30th-February 3rd- 6th Grade Outdoor Science School

Parents who have younger siblings with a birthday between September 2nd and December 2nd qualify for Transitional Kindergarten. The district will be having an informational meeting at the District Office on Wednesday January 11th from 5:00-6:00 pm.

Hi Chapman Hills Families! I'm very excited about this years KIDS RUN THE OC! It's coming up fast and I would love this to be another fun and successful year for our kids! I do need helping hands though to make this possible!! If we do not have help, I cannot run the program! We need parents that can help during your child's 1 hour of PE Class. Please email me, Amy Martinez, amy4martinez@gmail.com, if you can volunteer any amount of time starting in Feb and ending in April.

We are currently actively looking for two noon-supervisors here at Chapman Hills. This is an hour a day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:00- 1:15pm. The purpose of a noon supervisor is to ensure the safety of all students and monitor the playground behavior. If you love working with students and can work 1 hr a day please apply via edjoin.org and then notify Mrs. Saenz of your application.
