Starting next week we have 8 days of school before winter break. This Thursday, we celebrated Terrific Thursday with our students by having a bingo and popcorn with prizes for good behavior for the 9 weeks. The students and staff had a great time and apprecitate the PTO helping with this event! Lastly, congrats to the following students as the Brave of The Week: Kyser Iliff, Linda, Collins, Sophie Wheeler, and Sydney Tharp. Have a GREAT WEEKEND!
From the Guidance
Guidance classes are continuing to discuss emotions and coping skills to handle them effectively. This week grade levels switched lessons from last week. 2nd & 3rd grades are identifying feelings and talking about using "star breathing" to handle big emotions. 4th & 5th grades are discussing "double dip feelings" or having 2 emotions during the same situation.

π Braves of the Week
2nd Grade: Kyser Iliff
Kyser is such a fun kid to have in class. He comes to class everyday with a smile on his face. I am extremely proud of Kyser for the effort he is putting into his school work. He has made great progress, especially in reading. Kyser is always polite, helpful, and caring to all those around him. Great job Kyser, keep up the hard work!
3rd Grade: Linda Collins
Linda is someone who is always working to do her best work. When we are working on something new, she works hard to apply our new skill. She follows directions right away and is a great example to others. She is also a great friend. She checks on others when they are sad and wants to make sure they are okay. Great job Linda!
4th Grade: Sophie Wheeler
Sophie has been such an amazing part of our classroom community! She is a friend to all and I can always count on her to be following expectations. Sophie is inquisitive and not afraid to ask questions when something may be unclear. She has grown so much this school year. Keep it up, Sophie!
5th Grade: Sydney Tharp
Sydney always seems to have a smile on her face and gives her best effort. This week she showed caring and compassion for another student as she came to his aid in a moment of frustration and was able to help him deescalate and calm down. Anyone would be lucky to have a friend like her.
