Dear Hyde-Addison ES Families,

The Reopen Community Corps has continued to be hard at work! As a reminder, the Corps is comprised of parents, teachers, school staff, and community members who support and advise the school leader in reviewing models and resulting impacts on the community, to prepare for In-Person Learning and CARE Classrooms. The Corps has developed a shared understanding and framework for in-person learning for Term 3. The detailed plan will be provided to the school community, over the coming weeks, contingent upon DCPS approval.

• Start Date: February 1, 2021 (Term 3)
• Grade Level: Based on parameters shared by DCPS

Final decisions on when DC Public Schools will offer in-person learning is not made by school leadership or at the school level and is directed by DCPS Central Office. We are awaiting further guidance and will continue to share next steps, as available. A link to DCPS Reopening plans is available under "Previous Updates".

In addition, as part of the DCPS phased reopening plan, Hyde-Addison ES is scheduled to open a CARE classroom, based on safety guidance, staffing, and parent interest.

The Hyde-Addison Spelling Bee will take place virtually on Wednesday morning, December 16th!

---ALL students in grades 3-5 are eligible and encouraged to participate!---

GREAT ENVELOPE RACE. Thank you for supporting the Great Envelope Race! Our goal this year - to raise funds critical to provide the resources our kids need despite the current virtual learning format - is $25,000, with a suggested donation of $400 per family. However, donations in any amount are greatly appreciated, as 100% participation is the ultimate goal! Please make your one-time or recurring donation today!
