Dear Parents and Students of the class of 2020:

Congratulations!

You've made it! One more day to go and you are free from high school and can look at your future with confidence, pride, and the knowledge that you are prepared for whatever comes your way. We are very proud of your work, your determination, and your resiliency during this strange time in our lives. I have full confidence that you will look at hurdles in life and make them opportunities to grow and learn and be positive. You have faced many challenges and I know that you are ready to take on the world!

Senior's last day to turn in work is tomorrow. All class assignments need to be submitted by 3:00 pm! Hopefully, you didn't wait until the very last minute, but if you did, please be sure you have submitted work by the deadline.

If you are needing a transcript, please complete a Parchment request to have those completed automatically when grades have been finalized.

Caps, gowns, and other personalized order materials have not yet been delivered to us, but have been scheduled to arrive by May 29th. When orders arrive, we will let you know how and when parents may come to the building to pick up those items. We will most likely couple this trip with a materials drop off as well. So be sure you have collected all school-owned materials to drop off at the same time caps and gowns are picked up. For those of you that ordered announcements, the wording has changed so that no date, time, or location was printed on the announcement to leave us with some flexibility. This allows families to send them out at any time to announce to loved ones that their student graduated.

Start collecting materials and owes list items now to be prepared for drop off dates and times. Items that need to be returned: Chromebooks and chargers, calculators, textbooks, reading materials, and athletic apparel and equipment. Again, this will most likely be coupled with the cap and gown pick up so please plan ahead and start collecting all of your materials. Stay tuned for an exciting opportunity! REMEMBER - if you have any owes items you will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.

The Herald-Palladium has created an online photo gallery, sponsored by United Federal Credit Union, where parents and families can upload a photo of their graduating senior and include a congratulatory note at no charge! Readers can also browse the galleries to see the photos of the graduates and well wishes.

If you are still interested in helping out other parents plan and prepare a Senior Dinner, I would be happy to add you to the list. We are encouraging parents to step in and plan this event for Seniors to share a meal together one more time as a group. The school will be more than happy and willing to help invite all seniors and spread the word, but we are not planning the event. If you are interested in helping this committee plan this event when it is socially responsibly to do so, please send me an email and I can add you to the list. Thank you!
