Principal's Message
Dear Yowell Families,
I am beyond proud to be the principal of Yowell Elementary. Each day I truly find joy waving at our car rider families each morning and afternoon, talking with students in the hallways and working with our exceptional staff. Our community is truly blessed to have such an amazing space for our students to learn and grow. This month I would like to share your words of gratitude with our staff. Please fill out the form in our newsletter to write a thank you note to our staff. I have been moved to tears reading some of them that have come in today. Thank you for taking time to share your positive experiences with our staff. I can promise you, you will be the highlight of their MONTH!
This Tuesday will be a teacher work day. We are looking forward to growing our professional knowledge as it relates to the classroom. Picture retakes will be on Wednesday if your child was absent, new or you were displeased with the first pictures you will have an opportunity to have a retake.
Lastly, I'd like to mention our upcoming mobile coffee cart run by our exceptional education students who are working on their social and life skills. To do so, they have come up with a business plan called Specially Brewed. Specially Brewed is a mobile coffee cart that will go around to staff members, take coffee orders, and make and deliver coffee orders. Mrs. Silver's students will work on following directions, oral communication and listening skills. We would LOVE your help to get Specially Brewed off the ground, you can find their Amazon wish list here. You can also send donations into the school as well. Thank you in advance.

Transportation: Morning update document
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.
