PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
We are thrilled to announce that our annual Laps For Leadership PTO fundraiser is just around the corner! This event not only helps support our school and its programs but also promotes healthy living and community involvement.
**Event Date**: October 26th, one week from today!
**Fundraising Goal**: $23,500
**Prize**: A schoolwide Tie-dye party to decorate our white school shirts distributed at the beginning of the year.
The event will take place on the Altona track, and we invite all families to come out and cheer on our students as they run for this fantastic cause.
To contribute, please consider sending your donations in the form of cash or check using the fundraising envelopes sent home last week. Alternatively, you can make online donations using our updated fundraising link: https://givebutter.com/Laps4Leadership.
As a token of appreciation, students will receive a water bottle sticker for their first donation of any amount. Additionally, the grade level with the highest fundraising participation each week will win double recess.
Your support is invaluable in ensuring the success of this year's Laps For Leadership PTO fundraiser. Let's join forces and work together to achieve our goal and provide our students with the best possible educational experience.
Warmly,
Amanda

DEAN OF STUDENTS' UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
This week, we celebrated Classified School Employee Week, a time to honor and appreciate our classified staff members. They are the unsung heroes of our educational community, playing an indispensable role in our school's success.
From our custodian team to our librarian, paraprofessionals in classrooms and special education, our campus supervisor, dedicated office staff, health clerk, nurse, kitchen staff, and before/after school care staff, they all share a deep commitment to the well-being and success of our students. Their collective effort helps our students learn and grow in an environment where they feel safe, supported, and valued. As we express our gratitude during Classified School Employees Week, let's remember that this appreciation extends throughout the entire year. Our school's success is truly a team effort, and we couldn't do it without them!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney

PTO UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
Laps 4 Leadership is ONE week away!
Our students are so excited for Eagle Crestโs annual Laps 4 Leadership fun run on Thursday, October 26!
As of Wednesday evening, we have raised close to $9,000, which is awesome, but still leaves us at only 38% of our $23,500 school goal! How can you help?
Make a donation of any amount here: https://givebutter.com/Laps4Leadership (Be sure to choose your childโs team/AKA teacher.) Cash and check (made out to Eagle Crest PTO) are great, too!
Share, share, share the link with family and friends.
See if your employer participates in an employee matching program to DOUBLE your gift! More information here: http://www.eaglecrestpto.com/match
Post your childโs class link on Facebook and Instagram.
Sign up to volunteer on October 26th! The PTO needs help counting laps, handing out apples or water, and returning things to the school after the race. Click here to volunteer.
Come cheer for you kid! Click here to see the running schedule.
This is Eagle Crestโs biggest (and final!) fundraiser of the school year, and 100% of Laps 4 Leadership donations support student enrichment programs.
๐๐๐๐ When we hit our goal of $23,500 this year, our entire school will have a tie-dye party to color our school t-shirts! ๐๐๐๐
Drink Coffee with Principal Holden Tomorrow!
Join Principal Holden and the PTO for coffee TOMORROW, Friday, October 20th. We will see you in front of the school at 8:45 AM. Enjoy coffee generously donated by Fairisle Coffee and hear Ms. Holden share her vision for Eagle Crest. These community meetings are short, full of information, and a great way to talk directly with Principal Holden and connect with fellow Eagle Crest families!
Restaurant Nights are a Big Success!
Restaurant night at the Longmont (Ken Pratt) Chipotle was a huge hit. Chipotle donated over $350 to Eagle Crest PTO! The next restaurant fundraiser will be at Qdoba on Wednesday, November 8th from 4-8. (Can you tell we love tacos?)
Hope to see you tomorrow for the brief PTO meeting - outside the front doors at 8:45!
Sincerely,
Katie Lancaster
PTO President

HALLOWEEN PARADE
We are looking forward to our annual Halloween Parade! We are planning to host our parade on Tuesday, October 31st at 2:15pm. The students will make a full lap around the school in their costumes while we all celebrate the return of this fun tradition. All families are welcome to join us as we march outside around the school.
All students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to school and should plan to arrive with the full costume on and ready to go. Costumes must be school appropriate and not interfere with the learning environment. Please do not send students with anything violent (weapons, blood, etc.), or costumes that could be a safety hazard since we will be marching. Blow up costumes and masks can only be worn during the parade. Individual teachers will send information home regarding classroom celebrations.
APPLY FOR FREE AND REDUCED FEES
While students will no longer be charged for lunch or breakfast, we encourage all families to complete the Free & Reduced Fees Application. This not only benefits your family but also supports our school in terms of funding, staffing, and reduced fees for activities. Remember to renew this application annually for access to various benefits.
Apply for free and reduced fees today to take advantage of these opportunities!
