SUPERINTENDENT CORNER

Dear Lester Prairie Public School District Staff and Families,

This week we celebrated Public Schools Week. It was a week of recognition that allowed us to reflect on and consider the incredible impact our public schools have on our communities, including here in Lester Prairie. Public Schools Week represents a celebration of the promise of public schools as places where every child - no matter their situation - is welcomed and celebrated.

We are thankful for the incredible efforts of our teachers and staff who prepare students for the rest of their lives, equipping them to participate in our democracy, take on jobs in an increasingly competitive world, and continue to learn and thrive well into the future.

As always, thank you for your continued support of public schools, the Lester Prairie Public School District, and the students we serve.

ACTIVITIES UPDATES FROM MS. WOLFF:

Spring Sports seasons are starting soon! Participant/parent meetings will be held for 7-12 Baseball, Softball, and Track & Field on Monday, March 6.

Our Band will be competing at the Large Group Contest on Wednesday, March 8 at Rockford HS.

Knowledge Bowl will be travelling to Willmar on Friday, March 10 for the Regional competition.

Mark your calendar for the 5-12 Band Concert on Monday, March 20 at 7:30 PM in the North Gym.

A FREE Medicare Information session will be provided on Monday March 27 6:00-7:00 PM at LP School. Contact Kelly Elling to register.

A 4-hr refresher course for 55+ Driver Discount will be held on Thursday March 23 5:30-9:30 PM at LP School. Register by calling 1-888-234-1294

A NOTE FROM NURSE JOY:

McLeod County Public Health will be offering vaccine clinics for all types of immunizations.

They have multiple dates and times available(usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Please use the link below if your child is due and/or needs to catch up on their immunizations.
