8.1 District Student Artwork Presentation

A selected group of students presented artwork to the Board of Education. These pieces will be displayed throughout Central Office

If you would like to see more artwork by USD students, there is currently an art exhibit at the Urbana Free Library.

Individual Action Items

9.1 Emergency Food Service Contract

The BOE approved entering into a noncompetitive procurement contract for food service with Quest Food Management Services for August 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024.

9.2 The BOE accepted the Certified Election Results of the April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election. All races were unopposed

10.5 Organizational Meeting of the Board of Directors

8.3 Farm 2 School End of Year Presentation

The Farm to School Director gave an end of year review.

Garden Coordinators are at all 10 schools
Garden survey completed to inform garden development at each school

Gerber School raised over $25,000 for a greenhouse!

Plans for next year:

Farm to School Curriculum Kits will be available for check out starting Fall 2023 after successful pilot in April.
Garden Kits will be piloted this month, utilizing the school garden as an outdoor classroom.
Kitchen kits are in development for next year.
