Countdown Chains? Number of Days Until Christmas Break Countdown Charts? How About a DeSTEAMber Challenge Kids?!
A few years ago we started a tradition called the DeSTEMber Challenge. Our hope is to encourage learning through play especially during this time of year in which we typically start seeing shutdowns academically and sometimes emotionally and the kids are equally challenging :)
This is our take on the Rube Goldberg Challenge which takes place nationally each year and we like to call ours the Mini-Rube DeSTEAMber Challenge. We don't know the task yet, but am sure it will be a doozy! This is a voluntary activity for kids that want to take part. We have seen an uptick in the amount of participants and hoping for more this year! We will do a big reveal of the actual task either Tuesday or Wednesday of this week!
