Thursday morning, 6th, 7th and 8th grade orchestra concert
Parents/guardians are welcome. The concerts are only 2-3 songs long and will also be live and available to watch on our YouTube channel. Find the The GLOBE Academy's page and click on Live to see the scheduled live feed times of 9:30am, 6th grade | 10:30am, 8th grade | 11:30am, 7th grade. The recordings will be available later tomorrow to watch anytime.
Congratulations to GLOBE flute player, Jerome Yang!
Congratulations to Jerome Yang on earning the highest score of any middle school flute player in the Georgia Music Educators Association District 4 first-round All-State audition! Jerome will represent GLOBE at District Honor Band in February and has advanced to the second-round All-State audition. Awesome work, Jerome!
Student musicians attend MidFest
Anya Mai, Tait Robb, Rohan Kandiah, and Sam Goldstein attended the University of Georgia’s Middle School Band Festival (MidFest) this past weekend, joining with musicians from across the state of Georgia to prepare and perform a concert in just two days! We are proud of their accomplishments and they way that they represented GLOBE at this statewide event.

We want to give a shout out to our 2nd grade and 3rd grade class for their amazing performances at the winter concerts. Thank you parents for coming to support your students. A special thanks to Ms. Sherwood for putting together these amazing concerts.

Upper Campus notes
Congratulations to the winners of our spelling bee
The winner of the school spelling bee is Peyton Flaherty (8th grade). Runner up is Lily Haddad (7th grade) and in 3rd place, 5th grade student Macko Berhanu.
Chromebooks and chargers to be stored on campus over winter break
Middle school students should bring in their Chromebook and charger to be stored on the cart during the winter break.
Early Dismissal - Friday, December 16
Students will be released from UC at 11:45am.
CPR Training - January 3
We are having CPR training for our teachers during our Teacher Workday on January 3. We would like to invite parents/guardians who might also want to participate and become CPR certified. Send an email to our UC nurse Cherrie Robinson if you would like to join us.

MyPaymentPlus and new meal I.D. cards
Please remember to check your MyPaymentsPlus (MPP) balances. MPP Meal/I.D. cards are in the process of being issued to students with their unique PIN. After students obtain their meal from the cafeteria, they must then check out with the cashier by providing their PIN, before exiting the line. Look out for more information from your teacher regarding the revised breakfast/lunch protocol going into the second semester.

Target Language Book Fair for Spring 2023
We would like to be able to have a mini book fair with French, Mandarin, and Spanish books next semester. To make this happen, we need someone who will lead this effort. If you are interested in taking this on, please email PTCC.
Great news! Between now and Friday, parents are permitted to come to school during the day to check Lost and Found. This applies to both campuses. Please check in at the front desk to do so. Any unlabeled items not claimed by Winter Break will be donated.
