Embracing the Spirit of the Season:
As we approach the end of another year, it's time to reflect on the journey we've shared and celebrate the upcoming holiday season. The halls are abuzz with excitement and anticipation as we prepare for festivities that bring warmth, joy, and a sense of togetherness.
Holiday Decorations Transform Our School
The magic of the holidays has descended upon our school, transforming classrooms and common areas into festive wonderlands. From colorful ornaments adorning the hallways to cheerful displays reflecting the diversity of our community, the decorations symbolize the unity and shared spirit that define our School family. There are special days as we approach the winter break, including holiday shopping week. Please see the coming events for more information.
Community Outreach and Acts of Kindness
The holiday season is not just about celebration but also about giving back to our community. We have organized various initiatives to help those in need. This includes collecting food and organizing a winter clothing drive, our school community actively participates in spreading kindness and making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Celebrating Diversity
At School, we try to encourage a diverse and inclusive community. As we celebrate the holidays, we recognize and honor the various traditions that make our families special. Teachers and students are encouraged to share their cultural practices, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the rich tapestry of traditions that enrich our school environment.
A Time for Reflection and Gratitude
As we exchange warm wishes and enjoy festive gatherings, let's take a moment to reflect on the year gone by. It's a time to express gratitude for the support of our families, the hard work of our students, and the unwavering dedication of our staff. Together, we've created a nurturing and inspiring learning environment that truly defines LPES.
Wishing you all a joyous and restful holiday season filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections. May the spirit of the holidays continue to shine brightly in our LPES community.

Holiday Stress and Support"
Join MHANYS School Mental Health Resource and Training Center on Tuesday December 19th from 7:30pm - 8:30pm for: "Family Roundtable Discussion-
Holiday Stress and Support"
The “most wonderful time of the year” doesn’t always feel that wonderful. Holidays are often associated with joy and excitement, but they can be stressful, overwhelming, and challenging for parents and families. The holiday season can quickly bring increased stress and anxiety, and handling these emotions and navigating this period can be challenging for both parents and children. We place high expectations on ourselves to create the perfect holiday memories and experiences for our families. Join us for this panel-style discussion where we will talk about common challenges parents and caregivers face during the holidays, stress youth and teens encounter during the holidays, and share some tips for maintaining good mental health through the holiday season.
*Please note: registration will close at noon on 12/19/23*
