A Letter to our Panther Community
Dear PFE Families,
The year is marching quickly forward and as we enter our fourth week of school, suddenly Boosterthon is upon us. Boosterthon is a great fundraiser that has been in the district for several years. Some of the positive aspects of Boosterthon are characters lessons that attach to the program, the support level of the staff for Boosterthon and the curated events that students love. This year's Boosterthon will be on Friday, Sept 8 with a GLOW RUN! If you haven't gotten registered for this event please consider doing so. Boosterthon makes it very easy to share this information on social media which increases our money raising potential.
Last year, we were able to raise $20, 000 and it was dedicated to student spaces. With this money we are transforming our ART ROOM and SCIENCE LAB. The Art room is receiving new tables and chairs. The tables have a white board top for practicing art and they add to an updated more creative space. We want this space to be an engaging and inspiring area for student to harness their creative spirit. We are "SCIENCING UP the lab!" Lots of interactive Science stuff such as a Terrarium and Hydroponic Gardens, we are also going to purchase shelves to house all of the cool stuff so it is accessible to students. We have so many exciting ideas for the Science Lab and collaborating with students to find out their Science interests because it is THEIR lab. Both of these spaces are being transformed right now and we look forward to having parents come check them out during our Open House this year!
For this year's funds we are going to continue to focus on Student Spaces. What I love about having the Boosterthon so early in the year is that our current students including our 5th graders will have access to these spaces this year! Our focus will be our atriums and making these spaces even more engaging for students. More to come on this!
