Mr. Gary Roberts has been a math teacher in Warren Township for more than forty years and a coach for many years. He currently is the coach for Warren Central's Girls Lacrosse team and also serves as the Vice President of the Indiana Girls Lacrosse Association. He has a love for educating students and helping them succeed. He misses his students. So much so, he made cardboard cutouts of his students (see pictures below)!

There will be no school on Monday, January 18th to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.

On Wednesday, January 15th, from 5-7 pm we will have make-up item distribution pick-up for specific Semester II courses. Students should have received communication from their teacher if they have materials that need to be picked up. When arriving for your materials, please use lot 7 on the West end of our football field to park and enter in through Door 14. As a reminder, masks are required to enter our building, and we also encourage you to practice social distancing from other students and families while in our building.

Tutoring has changed to Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:45. Food will be provided by Chartwells and transportation will be provided home. See the flyer for more information.

WIDA testing will begin on January 11, 2021, for all identified English Learner 9th-12th Grade students. Parents will be contacted to arrange a date and time for their student to be tested. Students can be brought to school on their designated testing date or the school can arrange transportation. Please complete this form if transportation is needed. Please note that if students will be using bus transportation, they will remain at school for the entire day. If you have questions, please contact Jill Lines -317-532-6401.

Las pruebas de WIDA comenzarán el 11 de enero de 2021 para todos los estudiantes que aprenden inglés de 9º a 12º grado identificados. This round of ISTEP will be completed by Seniors that have not passed or have not completed, as well as ALL Juniors. The testing dates will be at the beginning of February and will be held at Warren Central High School. Keep an eye out in your student's email, as well as the mail, for more information.

The registration to enroll for the Purdue Gifted Education Research and Resource Institute’s (GER2I) Spring Super Saturday program held in February 2021 is now open! At these GER2I camps, students take challenging classes related to their area(s) of interest. We offer hands-on classes in a wide range of subjects, including STEM and the humanities, all designed to be one to two grade levels above traditional classroom content. These classes are taught by esteemed professors, graduate students, and teachers from Lafayette and surrounding areas.

GER2I's Virtual Super Saturday program provides learning experiences that explore advanced material and develop critical and creative thinking. We offer a caregiver-child format for children in PreK - 5th grades so caregivers can spend quality time and gain experience working with their children. This is required. The participation of caregivers of students in 6th - 12th grades is not required, but parents are invited to our parent interest sessions.
