Announcements

Parent/Teacher Conference Scheduling:

We will be conducting Parent/Teacher Conferences the week of November 16th to November 20th. Your child's teacher will provide directions on how to schedule a conference and how/when to attend. Please note that conference scheduling will take place during the week of November 2nd to November 6th.

Minimum Day Schedule:

On November 9th, as well as November 16th to November 20th, we will follow a Minimum Day Schedule. Please reference this MINIMUM DAY SCHEDULE document to see when your child should arrive and and will be dismissed from school.

Important to Note: In order to continue to have a smooth drop off for our Ruhkala students we have made slight changes to our arrival and dismissal times.

The most significant change is that we will be pushing back our arrival time by ten minutes in Grades 2nd through 6th. Students will be allowed to enter classrooms at 7:50 and school will start at 8:00. We have also made changes to our Kinder and First grade AM/PM schedule. Dismissal will be earlier for all students.

Depending on the grade level your child is in times will vary. All specifics to your child can be found on the document linked above. Please make sure that all students arrive and are picked up at the appropriate times.

PTC Ruhkala Strong Sticker:

Just a reminder that our PTC is selling Ruhkala Strong Stickers. You can check them out and purchase one for a dollar at the Ruhkala PTC website or by clicking HERE.

Yearbooks:

The 2020/2021 yearbook cover contest has officially kicked off. Please see this FLYER for more information. We will be accepting entries until Wednesday, November 4th.

There are a few yearbooks available in the office from last school year. If you are interested in purchasing one they are $20.00 in cash.

Halloween Costumes:

Students will be permitted to wear a Halloween costume to school based on the following schedule. Students DO NOT have to wear a costume to school. Please make sure to read these GUIDELINES before sending your child to school in a costume.

K-1st Grade Students can wear a costume to school on October 30th.

2-6th Grade Students in the A Group can wear a costume to school on October 29th.

2-6th Grade Students in the B Group can wear a costume to school on October 30th.

We will not be having Halloween Parties that involve shared food and treats.

Lunch Pickup:

On Campus Kindergarten and First Grade Students:

• Monday through Friday Kinder and First Grade students, who are on campus, can pick up a lunch from the pick up station (near the back parking lot) at 10:35 on their way off campus.

Second through Sixth Grade Students whose group is not on campus and all RVC Students:

• On Monday through Friday these students can pick up a lunch/breakfast from the pick up station (near the back parking lot) at either of these times:

-10:50-11:05

- 12:00-12:30

• Group B attends school today in Grades 2-6
• All students in K through 6 will be dismissed at 1:20.

• Group A attends school today in Grades 2-6

• Group B attends school today in Grades 2-6

• Group A attends school today in Grades 2-6
• PE with Coach Carter

• Husky Spirit Friday! Wear school colors or your Ruhkala gear.
