BHHS RemoteLearning PlansResources for Families and Students all in One Location

Minutemen and Minutemaids,

What a unique time we are in. We recognize how incredibly difficult this situation is for many families. The fabulous team at Bunker Hill High School has been working hard to identify meaningful instructional activities for students to do while they are at home for an extended period of time. Our goal in this work was to provide you with activities that are aligned with what students typically do during the school day, recognizing it will not be the same as being in the classroom, but everything should be familiar. We worked to provide materials for each student to be engaged in learning that is purposeful yet manageable during this time.

This newsletter page will be used as a place where you can access all the instructional activities for each course offered at BHHS. We will be updating the links in this newsletter and activities within the folders as needed We will send out the link to this newsletter in many different ways so that everyone can have access to its contents. In this newsletter, you will find "Buttons" for each instructor that when clicked will take you to folders with daily instructional activities, links, and directions for specific courses taught by that instructor.

We certainly know there is a lot going on for families right now. We have incorporated "Motivational Mondays" and "Feel Good Fridays" into these plans for each level/course. Monday lessons will be less structured and focus on simply explaining to students and families the purpose of their learning for the week and main learning objectives. Friday lessons will focus on social-emotional learning for students and families. Fridays will also be used for instructors to follow-up with students, provide feedback, and even personally connect with students with a phone call if needed. We hope that Motivational Mondays and Feel Good Fridays will help students to be able to focus on instructional activities on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays without feeling overwhelmed with too many demands during this time. We realize the importance of our families' and students' overall well-being during this crisis.

We appreciate your partnership as we navigate this unknown territory together. Please feel free to reach out to any of our staff members through e-mail if you have any questions or concerns along the way.
