Tennessee 4-H Congress Readiness Days
Tennessee 4-H Congress will be happening on March 19-22, 2023 in Murfreesboro, TN. 4-H volunteers are eligible to participate. If you are interested in being a part of Tennessee 4-H Congress, view the 4-H Congress Volunteer Position Description to understand your potential duties, and contact your County Extension Office for more information.
4-H Congress Readiness Days are an important part of the preparation and volunteers should participate. They are scheduled for:
Western Region - March 4
Central Region - February 25
Eastern Region - February 20
A large part of Congress also takes place in Nashville at the State Capitol. This event has been titled "The Premier Event of Tennessee 4-H," and is a very rewarding experience.
Get Ready for 4-H Shooting Sports Competitions!
Volunteers who are instructing youth in 4-H Shooting Sports have the opportunity for their youth to demonstrate their abilities at the Spring 4-H Shooting Sports Jamborees. Please make sure to visit the State 4-H Shooting Sports site and communicate with your County 4-H Office for skill-a-thon study materials, relay times, and other competition information. We are looking forward to some great Spring events.
The recent Level 1 Instructor training at Lone Oaks Farm saw 12 new rifle instructors and 9 new shotgun instructors get certified.
Our new Interim State Coordinator, Aaron Spurling, and the entire State 4-H Shooting Sports Committee is looking forward to this year with many opportunities for our youth. They are excited to celebrate the program's continued achievements and successes. Please contact your County Office for more information.
