Could you build a barge (boat) out of aluminum foil, craft sticks and other items that can float and hold up to 6 golf balls? Our third graders can! This month each class will be practicing how to work as a team, share their ideas for problem solving and learn how to disagree respectfully. Some of the other activities will include building towers (using dry pasta and marshmallows), inventing tools to compete to wring a bell, and inventing animals. Talk with your student about their teamwork activities!

Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports
One of our goals is to promote and encourage positive student behavior. PBIS rewards is a positive behavior incentive program that gives students the opportunity to earn points throughout the day as they display the expected district-wide behaviors of being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. Students are then able to use their points to shop for various items in their classroom store.
Parents please make sure you sign up for PBISrewards.com. This application will allow you to monitor your child’s behavior, keep track of their points, and stay in communication with their teacher.
We are asking our parents to encourage your students to be respectful, responsible, and safe at home and in school. You should have received your student’s unique QR code to scan and sign up for the PBIS app. If you need assistance please contact the main office. Our goal is to have all parents connected!!!
