Wear as much patriotic clothing or red, white, & blue as possible!

- Friday, Oct.28– “Orange You Glad You’re Drug Free!” Wear as much orange/black/purple as possible or Halloween clothing! NO COSTUMES or scary clothing will be permitted. (The same holds true for the 31st.)
On your child's P.E. day, he/she will follow the theme “Living Drug Free is No Sweat! Wear exercise and workout clothes. That is the day students will participate in the Jump Rope for Heart event. On Friday we got to see a performance by the Indy Air Bears to help motivate us! (See pictures below.) Students who are able may bring a donation any day of the week. All money will go to the American Heart Association.

Trash Bag Sales
Thank you so much to all those who participated in our trash bag sale this year. This continues to be a successful event for our PTO with your help! If you have not picked up your bags, please do so this week in the main office.
Fall's Big Event!
The Nightmare on Elm Drive Halloween Extravaganza is just around the corner. It will be held on Saturday, 10/29 from 5-8pm. This year's event will feature the "Once Upon a Haunted Tale" haunted house, along with our usual games and activities around the building, trick or treating in the hallways upstairs with the teachers, a costume contest in the gym, and dinner in the cafeteria. We could really use your help and are asking for volunteers to help run the cafeteria and games throughout the evening. Click the link below to sign up to help for an hour. Mark your calendars - YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!!!
Fall Parties
As a reminder, if you are wishing to volunteer to help in your child's classroom during the party, you must have an approved background check on file. The fall party will be on October 31st from 2:45 - 3:30pm. Thank you to all those who have already volunteered to send in supplies for this fun event.
Next Meeting
Our next PTO meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 7 at 6:30pm in the Clarks Creek library. Free childcare will be provided by our YMCA before and after school childcare program. Please enter through door 3.Reminder - Volunteer at Clarks Creek!
Another thing we ask all volunteers to complete annually is the Volunteer Confidentiality Form. This form is available in the school office and should also be completed before the first volunteer experience.
We appreciate the help of all of our volunteers! We couldn't do it without you!

Plainfield Wrestling Camp
Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Paul Nicodemus and I am the varsity wrestling coach at Plainfield High School. I have been teaching and coaching in the Plainfield school system for twenty-six years. I currently teach Algebra 2 at Plainfield High School.
I am in the midst of my twentieth year as the head wrestling coach. During those twenty years my teams have won more than 250 dual meets, as well as several county, sectional, and regional championships. In addition, we have had many individuals experience great success including numerous semi-state and state qualifiers, as well as several medalists at the state finals!
Part of our success at the high school has been the outstanding programs that are in place at the elementary and middle school levels. This wrestling camp is an introductory program for your son. We will provide an outstanding opportunity for your son to try the sport at a young age in an informal environment (compared to middle school wrestling). If he is interested in continuing with wrestling after the camp, he can enroll in our advanced wrestling camp which will last throughout the winter. Last year’s elementary program was a huge success and we look forward to a great program this year. Who knows, you might be the parent of a future wrestling state champion!

I look forward to meeting you and your son,
Paul Nicodemus
