Mill Valley Weekly
October 27th, 2022
Hello Mill Valley Families,
New to Golden Awards this year, we will be recognizing attendance in a number of different ways...
- grade level with the lowest % of absences for the month
- classroom with the lowest % of absences for the month
- students with perfect attendance for the month
Research shows that good attendance habits in the early grades are strong predictors for future success in high school and beyond.
Reminder, there is no school for students on Friday, November 4th. Our teachers will be engaged in professional development.
Sincerely,
Robin Schrot, Principal
Allyce Harris, Associate Principal

10/21 Friday Paw Print Winners
Recognizing PAW-sitive Behavior
Every Friday, we recognize one student from each den color for their positive behavior. Our Paw Print winner's names are read over morning announcements, they get a paw print to display on their locker, as well as have their group picture posted in the Mill Valley Weekly.
Based on the behavioral data, each month we will concentrate on an area of the school in an effort to reinforce positive behaviors. Staff may acknowledge positive behavior of students by handing out paw prints. Students will then turn them into the den jar (by the library) for weekly drawings or recognition.
Tomorrow's Halloween Parade
- Families are welcome to arrive at 2:10pm and enter door 12, by the gym.

Did you know...
Chronic Absenteeism is defined as missing 10% or more of the school year for ANY reason (including doctor excused absences). Historically, in the Muskego Norway Schools, our percent in attendance is high. Last year it averaged 95.84% at Mill Valley. While that is an awesome number that should be celebrated, think of the 11 students (4.16%) that did not reach that. What can you do to increase that? What can we, at MV, do to increase that. Please let Deanna Welsh know your ideas by calling (262-422-1131) or emailing her.
Check out the lost and found while you're here for conferences. Located in the gym lobby.
