History behind Earth Day!
Earth Day Network’s mission was to educate, activate, and diversify the environmental movement. Earth Day started on April 22, 1970, and got 20 million Americans involved. By the end of 1970, the first Earth Day had led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts.
Who runs Earth Day & what steak holders are involved?
The Earth Day network is who runs Earth Day, and the steak holders are Toyota & NASA.
Is Earth Day a public health concern?
Yes, because pollution affects the air we breathe, but also the environment.
Can Earth Day improve public health in the future?
Yes, it has already improved public health in the past, and continues to get better.
