EJMS Jaguar Weekly Jan. 3 - 12

EJMS Families,

We hope everyone had a safe, relaxing, and wonderful winter break and a good start to 2024! We have had an amazing first half of this school year and I’m looking forward to a strong start to the second half! I am so fortunate to have a school full of hard-working, caring, talented, and respectful students. Both 8th and 7th grade have taken field trips to Champs this year and I heard wonderful compliments from the bus drivers about how well behaved both groups were. I even heard that Champs workers commented that they are always glad to see East Middle on the schedule because they know the students will be supervised by teachers and leave the place clean when they leave. It’s always good to get this kind of feedback and makes me proud to be a Jaguar.

Important Upcoming Dates:

• Monday, January 15th - MLK Jr Day, no school

We had a great response to our Winter Canned Food Drive.

A big thanks to the EJMS Student Ambassadors and National Junior Beta for organizing it and collecting the cans to deliver to the Jessamine County Foodbank.

Congratulations to Ms. Simpson's homeroom as our class winner for the doughnut party and

to Alonna Nettles as our student who contributed the most cans.
