Dear Families,

With our students and staff eagerly gearing up for the approaching student-led conference day, I'd like to take this opportunity to talk about what you can anticipate.

Unlike the traditional parent-teacher conference, where teachers primarily share information, student-led conferences empower your child to actively showcase their progress and accomplishments, fostering a deeper understanding of their own learning. These conferences encourage open dialogue, goal setting, and a collaborative atmosphere, promoting a stronger connection between home and school.

As students craft their conference agendas, teachers act as guides, encouraging students to focus on the unique elements that contribute to the excellence of learning at TIMA. Students will have the opportunity to connect their individual interests to showcase projects, establish links to future careers, and spotlight the qualities that embody the spirit of "Love Your People."

As we embark on our first school-wide student-led conference day, we, as always, invite you to share your feedback to help us enhance our efforts. Your input is invaluable in our continuous pursuit of improvement.

We are looking forward to your active involvement in our upcoming Student-Led Conferences. Together, we can create an environment where every child feels supported, motivated, and empowered to excel.

Come support the teachers by supervising lunch duty!

Our goal is to provide teachers with one duty-free lunch a week. A TIMA employee will be in the cafeteria to support the volunteers. Please use the button below to review available slots and sign up!

Join us for some social time and to learn more about different aspects of TIMA. We will be covering different topics each month so you can pick and choose or come to all!

We love seeing volunteers on campus! Volunteers must first be cleared through the VISTA background check process. Please complete the simple registration and application process . The system also enables us to track volunteer hours. Tracking volunteers is important to TIMA's grant initiatives. Please help us by ensuring you are tracking your volunteer hours

TIMA offers athletics for students in grades 6,7 & 8. All students wishing to participate in evaluations, practices and games MUST have a current physical on file with Athletic Director, Noel Ingram. Students must also meet the athletic eligibility requirements to participate. Physical packets and eligibility guidelines can be found in the folder linked below. Please reach out to Noel.Ingram@sccpss.com with questions.

Volleyball tryouts will be held Wednesday, September 13th and Thursday, September 14th at the Tybee YMCA. Athletes will be called to the gym at dismissal and walk to the YMCA together. Pick up will be at the YMCA at 5:30 pm. All participants MUST have a current physical on file with AD, Noel Ingram. Questions? Contact Noel Ingram at noel.ingram@sccpss.com
