Dear Viking Community,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2022-23 school year. As the summer begins to wind down and we start to think about embarking on our journey together this school year, we all cannot help but begin to feel some excitement. The silent hallways and the empty classrooms will finally come back to life again, filled with Viking pride and the sounds of a vibrant Rogers High School. We all cannot wait to see all of your faces again!

Our journey together begins on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. School hours are 7:30 to 2:00 pm. Roger High School will open its doors for students at 7:15 am, with the first warning bell at 7:20 am and the final warning bell at 7:25 am. Students should be arriving to their first period class, no later than 7:30 am. . Please know that we are focusing on student attendance and arriving at school every day and on time is important. We have some new policies in place that relate to school attendance, eligibility and participation in extracurricular activities. All should review the student handbook.

Student schedules are being finalized and will be available on ASPEN next week. For Information on how to access your child’s schedule in the ASPEN Parent Portal CLICK HERE. If you have questions about accessing the ASPEN portal, please see the “For Parents” tab on the NPSRI.NET website.

REMINDER:

Chromebook distribution for ALL 9th graders (including part-time students) will be: Tuesday, August 30th, - 12:00pm to 3:00pm & Wednesday, August 31st, - 3:00pm to 6:00pm in the Rogers cafeteria (enter through the red doors by the gym (Old Fort Road).

CLICK HERE for the NPS Student Laptop Agreement - Please review, print page 3, initial/sign and bring with you to pick up your chromebook. A parent or guardian MUST accompany student IF form is not brought in completely filled out.

During the first few days of school, students will be given forms to bring home. These are required and MUST be completed and returned. Students may return the completed forms to their teacher in crew class or drop them off in the main office. In the event that these forms are not returned, students will lose eligibility and the privilege to participate in social events.

Take the remaining days of your summer vacation to spend time with family and friends to rest and recharge. We look forward to seeing you all on September 7th, for an amazing school year. #WeAreViking

Es un placer darle la bienvenida al año escolar 2022-23. A medida que el verano comienza a terminar y comenzamos a pensar en emprender nuestro viaje juntos este año escolar, todos no podemos evitar sentir algo de entusiasmo. Los pasillos silenciosos y las aulas vacías finalmente volverán a la vida, llenos de orgullo vikingo y los sonidos de una escuela secundaria Rogers vibrante. ¡Todos estamos ansiosos por ver todas sus caras nuevamente!

Nuestro viaje juntos comienza el miércoles 7 de septiembre de 2022. El horario escolar es de 7:30 a 2:00. **RECORDATORIO:

HACER CLIC AQUI para el Acuerdo de computadora portátil para estudiantes de NPS: revise, imprima la página 3, coloque sus iniciales / firme y tráigalo para recoger su Chromebook. Un padre o tutor DEBE acompañar al estudiante SI el formulario no se completa completamente.

Durante los primeros días de clases, los estudiantes recibirán formularios para llevar a casa. Estos son obligatorios y DEBEN completarse y devolverse. Los estudiantes pueden devolver los formularios completos a su maestro en la clase de tripulación(CREW) o dejarlos en la oficina principal. En caso de que estos formularios no sean devueltos, los estudiantes perderán la elegibilidad y el privilegio de participar en eventos sociales.
