MAINTENANCE / GROUNDS / TRANSPORTATION

  • Bailey Inglish had an HVAC unit for their gym installed over the break. This is the only time this gym has had air conditioning!
  • Finley-Oates has a new slip resistant coating on the restroom floor where the tile was removed due to old leaks.
  • The Maintenance Department is staying busy completing work orders on a daily basis.
  • All the mulch has been spread and all the flower beds have been cleaned at BHS. We hope this will allow them to be easily maintained.
  • The Transportation Department has ordered the three new buses that were approved by the Board in December.

TECHNOLOGY

  • On Monday 12/19 and 1/16, Mike and Daniel implemented the New Fortigate Firewall. This removes a lot of the workload (bottleneck) on our CipaFilter appliance that had been used as both the content filter and firewall for the district's internet services. They have also moved all the old server data to all the new servers.
  • The tech department continues to stay busy with tech tickets and resolving issues.
  • Learning in the Loo - Stephanie refreshes these "tech learning tips" in the staff restrooms throughout the district each month. There is always time to learn something new!
