Dear Lemoore Elementary Families,

It is hard to believe that we have already been in school for almost 4 weeks! The students are focused on learning and are settling into the daily routines. Students learned on August 26th what it means "ROAR" while on campus. We are working to ensure safe, responsible and respectful learners. We spent time reviewing our school’s expectations and how it should look and sound to ROAR like a lion whether we are in the classroom or on the playground, Students are reminded to ROAR everyday. ROAR stands for: Respect, On-Task, Achieve, and Responsibility. These are the core values of our school-wide expectations for academics and behavior.

September is Attendance Awareness month. Our goal is 95% or better attendance each and every day. It is so very important for students to arrive on time every day ready to learn.

Thank you for playing a vital role in your child’s success at school and for all your support to ensure we have a successful and safe school year.

On Friday, August 26th, the student’s of Lemoore Elementary visited several stations around the school where they had the chance to learn about our school’s expectations for behavior in different areas of the school. We used our school posture of R.O.A.R. (Respect, On-Task, Achieve, and Responsibility) to model behavior examples for our students to see. Students then got to share with their teachers some of the things they had learned during the presentations. It was a wonderful day, and we are hoping your students will be able to share some of their experiences with you.

On September 8th, we will be having a lockdown drill. This drill will help us to review our procedures and protocols for a lockdown. During this practice, we will have the help of LPD to help us review and improve our plans.

Minimum Day Schedule ALL week

5th and 6th grade students can try out for the Football and Volleyball teams. Try-outs will be September 13th, 14th, & 15th.

Our first School Site Council meeting will be held on September 20th @ 3:00pm in room 4L.

September is Attendance Awareness Month. The campaign to end chronic absence starts now!
