Mrs. Galligan's 5th graders and Mrs. Bayless' 1st graders have teamed up! The 5th graders are helping these 1st graders to type their non-fiction writing and add photos on Google slides.
Class of the Week
Sra. Bejarano's kindergarten class made thank you signs for Mr. Joe and Sr. Alfredo as part of Class of the Week. Mr. Joe, our Lead Custodian, has worked at Ventana Vista for 11+ years. He always answers any calls that come over his radio and does whatever may be needed at the time. Did you know Mr. Joe listens to all kinds of music & his favorite movie is The Goonies?
Señor Alfredo has worked here as Custodian for about 1 year. Sr. Alfredo has lived in Tucson for over 25 years and is originally from Guadalajara. He's the oldest of 9 siblings and his favorite music is cumbia.

STEM-a-thon
STEM-a-thon (formerly known as mathathon) is our biggest fundraiser of the year! It kicks off on Monday, February 28 and goes until Spring Break. There will be 3 at home challenges and one in class activity. Be on the lookout for information on registering on PledgeStar and the challenges coming home Monday!
We're still looking for new board members, especially a treasurer! You don't need to be an accountant or finance whiz! We have an accounting firm that does our taxes, so if you can handle making deposits, keeping track of spending/donations and getting reimbursement checks out, you could be our treasurer next year!
