Task: Watch the screencasts below and complete each self-assessment task that follows.

Customize Assignments

Understand how to use the 'customize assignments' feature to modify units.

Self Assessment

Log-in to DBQ Online and go to 'Classes and Assignments.' Select a class and create an assignment. Think about whether you want to assign the entire unit or customize. If customizing, select the specific pages you want students to see.

Instructional Supports

Know how to use our instructional supports, such as audio read aloud, to scaffold lessons for students.

Self-Assessment: For the assignment you are creating, decide what supports you want to provide for students. Once finished with supports, decide if this assignment will get pushed out to the entire class or to selected students.

Instructor Markup Tool

Know how to give directions to students with the ‘instructor markup' tool.

Self-Assessment: Hit “Save and Assign” after you have created the assignment, added supports, and selected students. A pop-up window should appear asking if you want to leave directions for the students. Click yes and add mark-ups on the pages that need specific directions or tasks.
