UDHS Community Update
February 22, 2024

Cardinal Pride
Good afternoon, UDHS Family,
Yesterday morning, Mr. Rehr presented the SHINE (Selflessness, Humility, Integrity, Nobility, Empathy) awards. Aided by Mrs. Trainor, the following students were recognized for their outstanding character based on input received from staff members: Connor Dynan, Reese Fichter, Gabbi Ginaldi, Elijah Griffin, Matthew Logerstedt, Nick Loza, Brendan Murphy, Gus Platt, Julia Scullen and Maisie Williams. This presentation occurs each semester and brings honor to those students who exemplify the qualities in the acronym.
Congratulations to the six finalists for the Upper Dublin Education Foundation Student Leadership Awards who were announced this week. We are very pleased to recognize Julia Axler, Talia Hoffner, Chris Kohlbrener, Noah Morginstin, Amy Ngo, and Gus Platt on this great honor. Two will be selected from this impressive group and will be celebrated at the 40th Medals Program on May 15.
The high school is excited about our annual "March Attendance Madness" competition. This is an attendance competition among the Period 1 Red and Period 1 Gray classes. Each week (bracket style) two classes will go head-to-head to see which class has the highest percentage of attendance. In single elimination, Period 1 classes will progress on an actual bracket until an overall winner is determined at the end of six weeks. The tournament will run from February 12 - March 22. The two winning Period 1 classes will receive a catered breakfast the week after spring break. Thank you to our school-wide PBIS committee for sponsoring this event.
