Welcome to the 22-23 school year!

Welcome to the 22-23 school year! We are excited to get the school year going and cannot wait to see our Knights! We have some great things happening this year and we are looking forward to working together with our parents to ensure success for all our Knights! Nothing about this year will be Plane!

Greathouse Meet the Teacher

Date: Saturday, August 6, 2022, All grade levels will have designated times for meet the teacher. Times listed below. You must come at the time designated for that grade level. No exceptions, even if you have more than 1 student and their times are not at the same time. Parents will meet in the cafeteria then will be released to "Meet the teacher". Please bring you child's supplies to Meet the Teacher if you have them.


Kindergarten: 8:30-9:30 am

1st grade and 6th grade: 9:45-10:45 am

2nd grade and 3rd grade: 11:00 - 12:00 pm

4th grade and 5th grade: 12:15 - 1:15 pm

Beginning of the School Year information

  • The first day of school is Monday, August 8, 2022.
  • School hours- 7:45 am - 3:00 pm
  • Doors will open at 7:25 am for students. Do not drop your child off unsupervised before 7:25 am.
  • Students are counted tardy after 7:45 am
  • Parents may walk their child to class on the first day of school. Parents will not be allowed to walk their child to class after the first day of school.
  • If you need to check your child out early for an appointment you must arrive before 2:30 pm. Students will not be released after 2:30 pm for check out.
  • Compulsory Attendance
  • Breakfast and Lunch: Breakfast is free for all MISD students this year. Lunch is not free. I will share updated menus and prices when they are available.
  • Visitors at lunch: Parents/visitors will not be allowed to come eat with students the first six weeks of school nor drop off an outside lunch.
