Welcome back to SRS! We are off to a great start this year. Here are a few reminders:

New conditions / Acute Illness

If your child has any new conditions diagnosed over the summer or at any point this year, please notify the nurse so the health clinic records can be kept up to date.

Also, if your child has been diagnosed with an acute illness (such as COVID, Flu, Strep, etc…) please notify the nurse via email (jstiles@mpsd.org) or phone (781-319-3959).

Grade 4 Physical Exams

An updated copy of your child’s most recent physical exam is required to be submitted to the school nurse per DPH in Grades K, 4, 7, and 10.

If you have not already done so, please send in (or email as an attachment) your fourth grade child’s most recent physical in an envelope labeled “for the Nurse.”

Vision and Hearing Screening

We will begin testing for vision and hearing in all grades starting October 2. If your student is already followed for vision and hearing concerns, or you would like them to opt out for any other reason, please send a note to school or written email to:

Welcome back to SRS from the PTO! We are so excited to get started. You should have received a few fliers in your child’s backpack last week that share a little about our goals this year, our annual BOOST fundraiser and a back-to-school Trivia Night. Be sure to join us on September 28th for a FREE Trivia Night (Adults Only) event. Funds raised from this event will go to our annual BOOST fundraiser. Plus, it’s a super fun night. Don’t forget to register for our online PTO community at PT Board. This is where we will do the majority of our updating about upcoming volunteer needs, events and PTO related news. On September 24 MHS Senior, Thomas Schmid, along with his friends and family will be doing the Mitochondrial Awareness Walk. Marshfield's McDonald's Restaurant is helping raise funds for the walk and to raise awareness.

On September 25th from 5pm-7pm the McDonald's on Ocean Street, will be holding a FUNDRAISER for Thomas’ Team where 20% of all sales will go to this amazing cause. We hope you can stop in and help support this important cause.
