We had an AMAZING turnout for our first round of parent-teacher conferences of the year! 97% of our families were able to connect with their teachers! If you missed your conference, we'd love to reschedule and connect with you!
We also wanted to update you on our school wide attendance incentive. Over 100 students, both in August and September, had PERFECT attendance! We have also had a 12% decrease in tardies from this time last year and a 23% decrease in student absences! This is INCREDIBLE and we are so thankful for your help to make this possible! Students will have the opportunity to earn OVERTIME pay at our Family Night on November 14! We're excited to see you there!

Blackmore Pumpkin Patch
The Blackmore Staff, alongside some AMAZING community volunteers, transformed our building into the Blackmore Pumpkin Patch! This brought pumpkins, farm animals, team building, fall activities AND more to our students! Thankful for ALL of the extended #BEfamily! #PartOfThePride More pictures on the BE Facebook Page!
PIE Prize Patrol WINNERS!
Congratulations to Mrs. Hadley, Miss Lewis, Mrs. McLaren and Mr. Pyle on their PIE Grant Awards for their classrooms!! These grants will add resources to our school and within our classrooms!
Student Leadership Team!
4th and 5th grade students have had the opportunity to go through a process for our Student Leadership Team. Throughout the process, they have an interview skills class, get a letter of recommendation and interview. We also had an election for Student Council! Congrats to ALL!
Hello my name is Lauren Diaz and I am a new counselor at Blackmore this year.
I am currently getting my Masters degree in school counseling and will graduate in May! I love working with students of all ages on skills that help us achieve in school and our everyday lives.
Fun facts about me are that I got married this past summer to my high school sweetheart and that I love gardening and cooking. When I am not at Blackmore, I work with school gardens and teaching kitchens for a K-8th grade school in Wichita.

It's time for our One Book, One School read! Each family will receive a copy of the book and a reading pacing bookmark. Our goal is to have families and staff all reading together. Students who return the questions on time each week will get to participate in our reward activities.
Miss Lewis has been awarded the South Central Kansas Library System (SCKLS) School Library Reading Program Grant for 2023! She will receive $500 to support Blackmore’s One Book, One School read, Little Owl Rescue. The grant will purchase prizes for readers, nonfiction owl books for our library, materials for our reward activities, and a very special live barn owl visit to wrap up our reading as a school community.
