WELCOME TO THE FIRST EDITION OF OUR ELO NEWSLETTER
Before and After School Amazing Adventures in Store for AESD Students
Expanded Learning Opportunities is FREE and funded through the State of California with the goal of offering a 9 hour school day for all students. The program goals set forth by the State of California include providing a safe, supportive, active and engaging learning environment, filled with opportunities for students to develop their student voice, leadership skills, and their ability to make healthy choices. These opportunities are all made possible through collaboration between the school's quality staff and the support of our amazing community partners. Each school has programming available before and afterschool in order to support our students and parents schedules.
As AESD families, you have already started to see and experience our ELO Program in action during the first part of the 2021-2022 school year. Throughout the next few months, the goal will be to continue to grow and provide all interested students with access to their school's Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO) program either daily or as needed. With this program, the best thing is its flexibility. As a parent, you can choose to send your child everyday or certain days for special clubs and/or programs. These programs take place before and after school.
Each one of our school sites is working with outside agencies to support enrollment and safety of our students before and after school.
