October Bounce at Lynne's

OCTOBER BOUNCE

On Saturday, Oct. 3, let’s gather at Lynne Corn’s house (1851 Griffith Rd, Falls Church) for a fall bounce. The weather looks perfect for beardies: sunny with temperatures in the low 60s. To make things COVID-safe for all, there will be restrictions on entering the house, but there should be plenty of sunshine to warm you.

But what about the FOOD, you say? Bounces are famous for the food, so I’ve re-thought that, and here’s what I propose:

• It’s always an option to bring your own food, if you are more comfortable with that.
• I’ll make a boeuf bourguignonne; it will be served hot.
• For something to share, I suggest one of 2 things:
• Something that is served individually, like muffins or cupcakes, or something like cookies wrapped for individual service. OR
• Bring something that is hot, or that can be re-warmed in my microwave.
• I’ll work to make my porch, the serving utensils, glasses, & plasticware as safe as I can before you arrive. I’ll also have hand sanitizer & wipes, if you want to give anything a special extra going over.

Consider bringing a chair if you have one handy. I have some, but maybe not enough.

I would really appreciate hearing from you by Thursday afternoon. And if you told me verbally at the winery that you are attending, please rest assured that with nothing to write on I’ve probably forgotten it. So please send me an email (brynacap@verizon.net) anyway.
