North Crawford School District - August 2023
A Message from Mr. Munson, Superintendent
Welcome back to a new and exciting school year! As we embark on this journey together, I am thrilled to extend my warmest greetings to each member of our school community. I am humbled at the opportunity to continue leading this amazing school district. Whether you are returning to our halls or joining us for the first time, we are delighted to have you as part of our family.
This past year saw our communities overwhelmingly support our school district by approving both an operating referendum and a debt service referendum. Construction in the district is wrapping up. We are excited to welcome students, staff, and our families back to our building to experience the changes.
Our dedicated educators have been hard at work refining their skills and embracing innovative teaching methods. They are eager to engage, challenge, and inspire our students to reach their full potential. With a blend of in-person learning and technology-enhanced resources, we are poised to offer a dynamic and interactive educational experience.
Parents and guardians, your partnership is invaluable to us. Your involvement in your child's education makes a significant difference in their growth and success. We encourage you to maintain open lines of communication with teachers, attend school events, and engage in the various opportunities our district provides for collaboration.
In conclusion, let us approach this school year with optimism and a shared commitment to excellence. Together, we will continue to create a nurturing community where each individual can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Please refer to our district website for important dates, updates, and resources. You can find us on Facebook and Twitter for a glimpse at all the great things happening in our building. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to our dedicated staff.
Here's to a fantastic school year filled with growth, exploration, and countless achievements. Great things are happening at North Crawford. Welcome back!
Brandon Munson, Superintendent
A Message from Mrs. Killeen, Elementary Principal
With great excitement, I extend a warm welcome to everyone for the commencement of the 2023-24 school year! As I step into my sixth year as the Elementary Principal at North Crawford, I am still profoundly impressed by the amazing families, students, and staff who I am privileged to collaborate with. North Crawford holds a truly unique position as a place for both learning and personal development. Our school's beauty is matched only by the kind-hearted, caring, and curious students who are part of it.
As the year unfolds, I am eagerly anticipating the opportunities to showcase how our dedicated staff will embody this year's central theme: "Together We R.I.S.E." Throughout the year, our efforts will revolve around the acronym, representing resilience, integrity, safety, and efficacy. We're enthusiastic about infusing these principles into every aspect of our students' journey at North Crawford.
The involvement of families remains pivotal in ensuring our students' success. We're excited to welcome back regular volunteers, classroom speakers, and more. I urge you to maintain an open line of communication with your child's teacher or myself should you have any queries or concerns during the academic year. It is through our collaborative efforts that we can achieve remarkable things!
A Message from Dr. Sailer, MS/HS Principal
Welcome back to a brand-new school year filled with promise and potential! As we kick off another chapter of learning and growth, we're thrilled to introduce this year's guiding principles: RISE – Resilience, Integrity, Safety, and Efficacy.
Resilience: Our students and community have consistently demonstrated remarkable resilience, bouncing back from challenges and forging ahead with determination. This year, we're excited to further nurture this trait, empowering our learners to face obstacles head-on and transform them into stepping stones toward success.
Integrity: Upholding the values of honesty and integrity remains a cornerstone of our district's foundation. As we RISE, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a culture where each member of our community embraces ethical decision-making and accountability.
Safety: Creating a safe environment for all is paramount. We are dedicated to ensuring that every student and staff member feels secure, both physically and emotionally. This commitment to safety is an integral part of our RISE journey.
Efficacy: We believe in the power of efficacy – the capacity to bring about positive change. As a district, we're committed to providing our students with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond.
Additionally, we are excited to share some wonderful updates with you. Our school buildings have undergone enhancements to provide an even more conducive learning atmosphere. We're equally thrilled to welcome a remarkable blend of new staff members, each bringing unique talents and fresh perspectives, as well as celebrating the continued dedication of our experienced and outstanding veteran staff.
This year promises to be an exciting adventure as we collectively RISE to new heights. With each sunrise, we embark on a journey of resilience, integrity, safety, and efficacy – qualities that will shape the way we learn, lead, and inspire. We look forward to a year filled with growth, discovery, and shared success.
Here's to a fantastic year ahead!
Warm regards,
Dr. Robert Sailer
