We are on the final count down of the semester with one short week left! There have been a lot of students absent due to the different bugs that have been going around. Please ask your student to make sure they have all of their assessments made up and work turned in so that their final quarter grade can be a reflection of what they learned/mastered in their classes.

Snowy Night (Kinda) Formal Dance is tonight! Students should arrive by 5 pm and be picked up by 7 pm. It's going to be a fun night!

The last day of the semester is Thursday, December 15th and it is a 6th period day. Students will be meeting with all of their classes. Friday, December 16th, is a student-free, teacher workday.

Winter break ends on Friday, January 6th and Second Semester starts on Monday, January 9th.

There will be no after school Enrichment next week. Enrichment will resume second semester starting the week of January 23rd. Please note, Science Olympiad will continue to meet.

Bring Change 2 Mind students hosted a yoga class! Danica Lynch, the Wellness Coordinator at Academy of the Canyons graciously came and led a group of 20 students through some mindful breathing and yoga exercises.

Second quarter (first semester) ends on Thursday, December 15th. Please ensure students turn in all make up work and make up any missing assessments before the end of the quarter. Final grades will be posted on Infinite Campus on Monday, December 19th.

Second Semester schedules will be viewable to students on Infinite Campus during winter break, on Friday, January 6th after 3:00. Please have your student access IC and look at their schedule prior to coming to school on Monday, January 9th. The first day back is an O1 day.

Academic teams and teachers do not change at the semester. Students who are have exploratories (not specialty electives) will be given a new class. There may be minor changes to a student's schedule with period changes that will not affect their academic program.

There will be a PAC meeting held in our library at 6:00 on Thursday, Jan. 26th that will take place before the parent forum.

Absences can not be avoided when students are sick and must stay home. When a student is healthy, school attendance is important to academic and social/emotional success.
