Hello Primary Pups!
Hello Wall Primary Family!
Happy Valentine's Day! February is flying by! Between snow delays and early closing and the Presidents' Day holidays, it will be March before we know it. As you know we were the showcase school at this month's BOE meeting and our little video was very well received. It's attached below in case you didn't get a chance to see it!
Don't forget that school is closed on Monday and Tuesday! We will see all of our Pups on Wednesday, 2/21! Enjoy the time with your families!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Embon

More Syllable Awareness Activities
Syllables are one of the building blocks of phonological awareness, which is crucial for early literacy development. Teaching children to recognize and segment syllables in words helps them become more proficient readers and writers. It is easier for students to orally blend syllables, like “butt/er/fly” and say “butterfly”, than it is to orally blend phonemes like “d/o/g” to say “dog”. When we teach these phonological awareness skills, we should start with syllables. Here are some syllable counting videos you can watch with your child.

Passion First
The month of February is dedicated to the exploration of the mindset, Passion First.
Passion First teaches understanding that each of us is a unique expression of human existence, and that our lives should be focused on finding our individual genius. Essential to this is making our dreams authentic and aligned with our core values.
4 Key Components:
- Focus on Strengths
- Explore Your Interests
- Take a Stand
- Be Authentic
