Highlights of the week
What a vibrant and fruitful week it has been at our school. One of the standout moments was the privilege of hosting this year's primary Panathlon event on Monday 29th January. The Panathlon, a distinguished event dedicated to children with disabilities and special educational needs, saw participation from eight primary schools across the borough. All the students loved taking part and our student leaders did an amazing job leading the events and challenges. This event stands as a testament to our commitment towards inclusivity and fostering a supportive community spirit. The Richmond School Sport Partnership organised the event and commented ‘The young leaders were an absolute credit to this school - they worked with enthusiasm and empathy’ & the visiting Head teacher from Lowther school commented 'Your young leaders were truly excellent. I loved their warmth and enthusiasm with the children, please pass on my thanks and a big well done to them!’ Well done.
Students enjoyed Anti-Bullying assemblies this week during which they learnt the definitions of bullying alongside their responsibilities to be upstanders and what they can do to help and support others and where to seek help if they ever need it.
Thank you to all those who attended the Y9 Options Information Evening yesterday, it was brilliant to see so many families. Click here to view the PowerPoint and here to view the options booklet. A physical copy will be sent home next week, and access to all the presentations from Heads of Department will be available via Teams. You should receive a webcode in the next 48 hours allowing you to access the online form.
