1st Grade at Bear Creek Elementary

Our classes have read the book "Turkey Trouble." This is an at home activity for all of First Grade. For our at home learners, on SeeSaw we have uploaded the sheets that need to be printed to complete the activity. The due date for this activity is next week Monday, 11/16/20. We would like to hang up the turkey's at school to see their creative minds at work! For our at home learners, when done with your turkey's please drop them off at the Bear Creek front office.

Starting next week we will be including week long word work on SeeSaw. This will include a list of focus words.

We would like our families to share their cultures and customs with our classes via Zoom. If you'd like to partake in this please email your child's classroom teacher for more information.

Math:

• We will explore making 10 to help with math facts we do not know.
• We will compose and decompose two-digit numbers.
• We will count backward from any given number.

Reading:

• We will be able to read and write with consonant digraph ch and diagraph sh.
  
  

Big Ideas:

• We will identify our cultures customs and traditions.
• We will explore folktales and work to write our own.

Supplies needed for Face-to-Face and At Home Learners

• Shoe Box
• Recycled Paper Towel roll
• Empty and cleaned coffee or Cool Whip tub (any size).-
• Donations of aluminum foil would be greatly appreciated!
