R-PTLE Weekly Family Communication
Week of November 13th, 2023 (#12)
Thanksgiving right around the corner
Dear Families,
A few weeks ago I wrote in this paragraph that Thanksgiving break will be here before we know it and then Winter break is fast after that. Well, here we are! We have 7 instructional days left before a 5 day Thanksgiving weekend. Then, 4 FAST weeks before 2024 is at our door step. The teaching and learning that will be focused on during this time is part of the most critical part of the year. Please dig in with your student(s) and soak in all that the teachers will be providing.
I was just notified that Picture retakes will be November 20th! This will be the last opportunity provided to get this years school pictures.
Notice... We are looking for snow pants, size 6-10. If there are any snow pants out there laying around, or if you would like to donate new ones to our needs closet it would be greatly appreciated.
There are a number of pieces of information in this newsletter. Please scroll through all of them to have all the updated information and on how we can connect to Rocket City!
Looking forward to another great week of teaching and learning at R-PTLE this week.
Just added:
- Red Bandanna Kids
- Thanksgiving Turkey Trot
- Save the Date - All school Musical Event!!!

Happy Veterans Day!
We are always so appreciative for Mrs. O for all of her hard work, everyday, at TLE. She is always stepping in to help no matter what the task. On Friday, We were able to show a different kind of appreciation for Mrs. O on Veterans day.
Thank you, Mrs. O, for the sacrifices you've made to do your part in keeping us safe and providing us the freedom to enjoy amazing teaching and learning every day at Twin Lake Elementary. Your colleagues, school, and community thank you for your service!

This Month's Theme is Teamwork! We are Better Together!
What does it mean to have Teamwork?
Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.
We are better together! When we engage in true teamwork and lean on each other for shared knowledge and experiences, we learn more and can achieve more! team spirit at R-PTLE. I have felt it from day one. Let's focus on being a great teammate this month!
