We want to recognize and offer sincere thanks and gratitude to Board Members Steve Ziermann and Mary Otto. Both have served on the School Board for the past 8 years – since 2015. Both served on a variety of committees: Mary on the Policy and Meet & Confer committees and the Non-certified negotiations; Steve on the Legislative Committee, Facilities & Maintenance Committee, the Activities Committee, and the Certified, Non-Certified, and Administrative Negotiations. Steve also represented the District as the MSHSL Representative and as the (LCTN) Little Crow Telemedia Network Board Member.

Accomplishments during their tenure include, of course, the building project and other district improvements such as HVAC, windows, roof repairs, and a big thanks to Steve for all of the wiring and technology improvements he’s done for our district. Thank you to both of you, for your many years of leadership to our District and service to Lester Prairie students, families, staff, and community!

This past week, Tanner Scheevel was honored as one of the ten finalists for Mr. Football at the 19th Annual Mr. Football Banquet sponsored by the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and the Minnesota Vikings. We are so proud of our Bulldog, Tanner Scheevel!

Letters went out to local businesses this week regarding a new sponsorship opportunity that expands on our current gym banner sponsorships. Revenue generated from these sponsorships directly benefit students and student activities. Starting the 23-24 school year, a limited number of businesses will have the opportunity to display their logo and custom advertisements on our video board in the North Gym during regular season home events. Lester Prairie Schools Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is seeking input about the families and communities that we serve. This survey is for families who have children ages 5 and under who do not yet attend Kindergarten. By taking the survey below, you will be giving us valuable information on how to better serve our littlest learners in the community. We appreciate your feedback!
