March of Dimes
November is the perfect time to take action to beat prematurity before it claims more innocent lives this year. The March of Dimes needs your help to support families and to share their message of hope to give every baby a fighting chance. Below are a few ways you can help:
- Send a hand-delivered card as a message of hope to a family in the NICU. Go tomarchofdimes.org/tomorrow.
- Wear purple on World Prematurity Day, November 17 and post pictures in social media with #givethemtomorrow.
- Plan a purple school event to raise awareness and funds.
Twitter Chat
Join us on Thursday, November 17 from 9-10 pm for a live Twitter chat with the Key Club International Board. Be sure to use the hashtag #KeyClubChat when you tweet your question so everyone can follow along.
Kiwanis Family Month
November is Kiwanis Family Month, aka a month-long Kiwanis family reunion where members of Kiwanis and every Kiwanis-sponsored club unite in service. To participate, consider holding service events, fundraisers, or socials with your sponsoring Kiwanis club. Another option is simply attending a Kiwanis meeting or DCM, as they love seeing your faces there!
Scholarship Opportunity
Minerva is an innovative undergraduate program, designed for the 21st century student. Because Key Club students embody many of the same core values Minerva looks for in students — leadership, initiative and commitment to service — they are offering a $10,000 need-based scholarship, for a Key Club student. For more information, check out their website here.
