September Students of the Month
James is the type of student to go above and beyond what is expected from him in the classroom. He always finds a way to help his classmates and is a positive student in the classroom. He works hard and has a genuine interest in what he is being taught. He is a leader and a positive influence on his classmates. Great Job James!
Jersey came into class ready to learn this fall. He diligently works on his homework and asks questions to clarify any misunderstandings. He also has a great attitude in class, which sends out positive vibes to his classmates. Jersey cares about his schoolwork and it shows. Great job Jersey!
Music Appreciation🎵🥁🎸
Students in Music Appreciation are learning songs on the ukuleles. They are working on the following songs to be played for the younger students in music and gym class: Hokey Pokey, Row Row Row your boat, and Apples & Bananas.
Biology Class Lab🍁
Sophomores used microscopes to look at elements of leaves that were collected from trees on school grounds. They also stained cheek cells to view.

Junior English Class
Juniors are learning about propaganda and advertising. They discussed advertisements for various products and identified different ways items are marketed. The students also compared writing samples to look for propaganda. James is pictured answering questions about his ad.

SMARTLab
Mr. Ponzer has taken on the role of SMARTLab facilitator. He teaches a couple of high school classes each day and has created a schedule for elementary classes. The classes have enjoyed using a drone from the SE High Tech Consortium. A couple of pictures the students have taken are featured below.

Fort Ransom
5th - 7th-grade students attended a field trip at Fort Ransom State Park during the last week of September. They cycled through different sessions throughout the day - sessions were on the Water Cycle, Seed Dispersal, Animal Adaptations, and ND Geology.
