How can you be a bucket filler? That's a question Mrs. McGovern has been asking the students of Hannum Elementary.
Plant Systems at Hometown
Second graders are learning how a plant forms a system. Students learn about systems to understand the nature of how things are interconnected. When students create models (of systems) they can use them to make predictions about the systems themselves. Systemic thinking is a NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) crosscutting concept.

Families invited to share vaccination information
District 123 invites families to voluntarily share their child’s vaccination information. Providing this proof of vaccination is not required. This presentation is intended to provide our community with information on COVID-19 vaccine studies, safety data and current vaccine recommendations.
Updated School Guidance
Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) provided new guidance on quarantine and isolation to schools across the State of Illinois. The new guidance reduces the minimum length of quarantine/exclusion under specific situations for students and staff who are close contacts or recovering from COVID-19 to five days. READ MORE...
