Library News
Hello Dragons!
We had a fun week using the app Novel Effect reading one of the previous California Young Reader Medal winners “The Legend Of Rock, Paper, and Scissors” written by Drew Daywalt and illustrated by Dan Santant. This book won the award in 2021. We are gearing up to kick off the CYRM program of reading 5 nominated books in 5 weeks. On the 6th week our kiddos will vote on their favorite book. All votes will get sent to the people running the CYRM to get counted with other students in California. The winner will be announced at the end of May and will then be displayed on our “winners” wall. This is my favorite program to do with the kids. They love guessing the clues for each book and voting in the end. Each week I will post a little of each story and the clue in our weekly newsletter. AR prizes for Dec/Jan will go out the first week of Feb. Remember, good things happen when you read!
