Celebrations

Over the last two weeks we have had some fantastic activities going on in class. FFA also kicked off their 75th year last week, we had a great turnout!


Lady Buffs volleyball finished 3rd in the Rockdale tournament!


We had our first Friday night game and all student groups represented FHS well.

Homecoming

Welcome New Staff to FHS!

Over the course of the next few weeks we will be introducing new teachers at FHS. We are so glad they have joined the Herd!

Traci Tomlinson

Ms. Tomlinson has been teaching for 29 years and is joining us from Jarrell ISD. She moved to Texas five years ago from Arizona. Ms. Tomlinson is married and has four children. She loves math, astrophysics, and swimming. Ms. Tomlinson will be teaching special education and math.

Joshua Blake

Coach Blake is joining us from Liberty Hill ISD and he has been teaching for 12 years. He has been married for 10 years and has 2 daughters. Coach Blake is teaching in the Social Studies department and coaching boys athletics.

Becca Lewis

Ms. Lewis is a proud graduate of FHS and is moving into the teaching profession for her first year. She obtained her Bachelors in Business Administration from Tarleton State University. Ms. Lewis will be teaching in our Business department this year.

Student Drivers

Students driving to school should have their parking passes to park at FHS. In order to obtain a parking pass students will need:


1) Proof of Insurance

2) Drivers License

3) $10


Student drivers should enter through the English Hallway, door 309. Students make sure you are parking in the designated student parking area.

Florence Nutrition Department Wins Grant!

As part of the Healthy Meals Incentives Initiative, we are excited to share that Florence ISD was awarded a grant to support our efforts to improve the nutritional quality of school meals. The Healthy Meals Incentives grant is part of an allocation of nearly $30 million by the USDA FNS to 264 school districts across 44 states and the District of Columbia.
