Last Month of the School Year

Parents,

As another school year comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours all of the very best for the summer. May it be a safe, healthy and happy one and whatever your plans are, may they be most enjoyable!!

Please ensure that we have an updated phone number and email address for your family for all school communications during the summer and next school year.

We are all very proud of your scholars and would like to congratulate them on completing another successful school year. You should be very proud of them and how they represent you, their families and their school on a daily basis.

Congratulations to our 5th graders as they transition to 6th grade at Michelle Obama School and our 4th graders as they become our new 5th grade scholars!

It has been my honor and privilege to serve as the principal for Barack Obama School. I served as Assistant Principal for three years and then Principal for the past two years. I will retire at the end of this school year. I know that the future of this school will continue to advance the knowledge and skills of all students because of the wonderful staff we have at Barack Obama School of Leadership and STEM.

April Foods Day Donations

Thank you for your all your donations for April Foods Day. We collected over 500 canned foods to donate to others.

4th Grade Ambassadors

Ms. Nolen's homeroom served as guides for our incoming 4th graders for 3rd Grade Step Up Day!!

Behavior Incentives - Silent Party

All scholars had the opportunity to participate in a Silent Party April 19th to kick off our End of Year Incentive Campaign. We have fun activities for all to participate as long as there are no suspensions out of school or on the bus, no time spent in Patriot Support and no referrals from the classroom teacher. Help us by talking with your scholar about positive behavior in the school.

Barack Obama is College and Career Ready!
