Nearpod in Canvas
Nearpod was always so simple to use on its own, why should we use it in Canvas instead?
- Canvas automatically rosters your students. Students do not need a code to enter a lesson.
- Canvas can be added to modules to create easier transitions in lessons.
- Canvas passes back information that allows for easy teacher grading.
How to use Nearpod and Canvas
Written and animated directions can be found in the integration section of the Canvas Support Course. Enroll through the following link: Canvas FAQ, integrations, and Tips & Tricks.
Once enrolled, access the Nearpod Integration.
Tools for All Corner
Leverage the Access with Three Easy Tools in Nearpod.
Plan for Success: As you are creating or using pre-developed Nearpod activities, think about the content that is in your presentation.
- Having actual text on the slides is preferential to taking a screenshot and posting a picture of text.
- Consider color combinations and how the text will appear.
Immersive Reader
Once it is turned on in the settings, this tool will appear in the upper right corner of a slide. It will read any text on the slide.
Text help Screenshot Reader
