Staff Spotlight: Ms. Courtney Burchett (Social Studies Teacher)
Ms. Burchett is in her tenth year teaching at Warren Central. During that time, she has taught many Social Studies classes, but currently teaches the African Studies class she created, Economics and AP Macroeconomics. She exemplifies her motto “Black and Gold is what we bleed #wcfamily!” See some of her accomplishments below:
- Honored by students as an influential teacher at the Top Ten awards twice
- 2018 Warren Central High School Teacher of the Year
- Head girls soccer coach, earning her 50th career win in 2020
- Athletics Academic Collegiate Eligibility Advisor, in which she assists student-athletes in obtaining full collegiate eligibility to play at the next level.
- She helped to create and develop the student spirit club, The PIT.
- Winner of the 2017 Warren Central Athletics Impact Award!

FAFSA DEADLINE EXTENDED
Filing the FAFSA is one of the most important steps in the college-going process and can help students and families better afford college and other higher education opportunities. Students must have a current FAFSA on file to qualify for state and federal financial aid and many merit-based scholarships also require a completed FAFSA.

ILEARN BIOLOGY EXAM
ILEARN Biology Exam (9th Graders and some Upper Classmen)
Hybrid 9th Grade Students
- Black Day Schedule Students - 1st day of testing will be Monday, April 26th
- Gold Day Schedule Students - 1st day of testing will be Tuesday, April 27th
- All testing will take place during Biology Class.
- Last Names A-F will test on Tuesday, April 27th
- Last Names G-O will test on Thursday, April 29th
- Last Names P-Z will test on Tuesday, May 4th
- Makeup Testing for Virtual Students will be Thursday, May 6th
- Virtual Students need to report to the MediaPlex on their assigned date by 7:15 AM
ALL STUDENTS NEED TO BRING THEIR CHARGED CHROMEBOOK AND CHARGER EACH DAY OF TESTING.

Vaccinations - Ages 16 and Older
- Families making appointments for teens who are 16 or 17 years old will need to make sure they are selecting a location offering the Pfizer vaccine.
- Anyone younger than 18 who wants to get vaccinated will need permission from a parent or guardian.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION
- 100% VIRTUAL families can pick up food on Tuesday from 8:00-9:30 a.m. or 4:00- 6:00 p.m. at Moorhead Community Resource Center located at 8400 East 10th Street.
- All hybrid in-person students will have the opportunity to pick up meals while in-person to take home for the following school day. Please encourage your child to take advantage of this opportunity!
