Hello Spring Creek and Matanzas Families,

Manzanita Elementary Charter School for the 2021-22 school year
Manzanita trees are native to California and are abundant throughout our local parks. The Manzanita tree and bushes are used for medicinal purposes. The berries and flowers that grow on the plant are edible. A literal Spanish translation is little apple. An apple is symbolic of education.
Once the Board of Education approves a name, our next steps will be determined and communicated with you. Students will be helping in the naming of our mascot sometime after winter break.

Why is it so important to show up to your zoom on time? Your child's teacher needs to begin teaching. Once they begin, late comers have to be let into the zoom meeting from the waiting room. If a teacher is screen sharing, they can't see the waiting room. You can log onto the zoom early and wait for your teacher to begin class. That way you will not interrupt teaching. Thanks for doing your best with this.
