Introduction to Experiences
#1 Option 1 Experience Journal
Once a week, for at least 20 minutes, I want you to tell me about something you did. This is a typical journal or even diary form; nothing too personal. :) It’s very important to add the date to every week’s entry. Example: 6/10/20: Today I went to the…………...
If you don’t have something you want to share from that week, you can share something you feel like writing about that makes you happy. :).
Notice I used a time of 20 minutes rather than a length like “2 paragraphs”. This is because everyone thinks and writes differently. We have all learned how to use time to do our assignments now, plus some writers may get totally into it and keep going! Woohoo! (1 paragraph minimum) 😄
#2 Option 2 "Reading Journal" in Google Drive
Read a fourth or fifth grade novel of your choice or interest. After each chapter you will summarize what happens in the story by creating 2 or 3 paragraphs. Follow this format until you reach the end of your book. Be sure to introduce your characters and feel free to share your opinions about what you're reading.Choose a book you have not already read.
#3 Submit the assignment to your teacher at the beginning of September.
The final part of your mission is to submit your assignment to your teacher in September.
